CR&A Custom Reflects on 30 Years of Operation with Gala Event
LOS ANGELES, California – Known for its work with L.A. LIVE, Staples Center/Crypto.com Arena and some of the nation’s largest corporations, CR&A Custom has livened the landscape of communities with its over-sized banners and custom displays for three decades while at the same time revolutionizing the printing industry. To celebrate, owner and founder, Carmen Rad, is hosting a gala event at CR&A Custom’s 25,000 square foot facility located at 312 West Pico Boulevard, Los Angeles 90015 on December 8, 2023, beginning at 4:30pm. Joining in the celebration are local elected officials, Los Angeles business leaders, Los Angeles Business Chamber leadership, Los Angeles Latino Chamber of Commerce leadership, and artists along with current and past clients.
Carmen Rad defied the odds by launching her company in a male dominant industry and as a young 25-year-old Latina. Building off her experience as a fashion marketer and artist, Rad grew her start-up taking it from a spare bedroom in San Gabriel in 1993 to purchasing the building where it operates today.
Technology has played a major role in CR&A’s success starting with its transition to becoming a large format printer using the first TurboJet UV printer, the first of its kind in the world printer, in 2005. Today, CR&A is amongst the few using the Durst P5 350 HS a massive real-life imaging printer for large scale works.
Rad has also been influential as a small business advocate serving as President of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), as a board member with the Los Angeles Latino chamber of Commerce, and on the LA Workforce Development Board leading the charge to invest in employment training and opportunities for Los Angeles residents.
Carmen, along with her husband, Masoud, and son Chris, have obtained SBA and G7 certifications, the highest level of recognition in the industry.
